Sunny Leone: Former porn star’s name and photo included in test card for police constable job

Cheating in competitive exams is common in India and recently a strict law against it has been introduced in Parliament. In spite of all this, there have been widespread complaints of irregularities in the police recruitment exams in Uttar Pradesh, India’s largest state, and dozens of people have been arrested in this regard.

Sunny Leone admission card for job

But the case that caught the attention of the Indian media was the admission card issued to a ‘candidate’ for the police recruitment examination, which had Bollywood actress Sunny Leone’s name on it along with her two names. Images are also pasted.

According to Indian media, former porn actress Sunny Leone’s name and photograph were posted on the website of Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRB) as a registered candidate for the post of constable in the police department.

Sunny leone’s phone number provided :

A center set up at Shrimati Soneshree Memorial Girls College was also allotted to the ‘candidate’ Sunny Leone for giving the test. This exam for police recruitment was held last day i.e. 17th February.

In response to the questions asked by various media, the Uttar Pradesh Police has said that the investigation into the matter is ongoing.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, the phone number used for the police recruitment exam application in the name of Sunny Leone belongs to Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh. Whereas the address entered for registration is Mumbai.

On the other hand, the officials say that although the card was issued to the ‘candidate’ to appear in the test, no candidate appeared in the examination hall with this admission card.

Sunny Leone’s name and photo went viral :

After the admission card with Sunny Leone’s name and photo went viral, the police have said that it is a fake admit card on which the actress’s photo has been uploaded by an unknown candidate during registration.

Such mischief is not new in India. Even earlier, Sunny Leone’s picture has appeared in the recruitment form of a teacher in the southern state of Karnataka.

According to the news agency ‘PTI’, a candidate appearing for the Teacher Eligibility Test to be held on November 6, 2022, submitted an admit card at Shimoga’s Rudrappa College with Sunny Leone’s picture on it instead.

The Karnataka School Education Department had ordered an inquiry into the matter and the principal of the school had lodged a complaint with the cyber cell.

Similarly, when a post-graduate student of Banod Bihari Mehto Koivalanchal University of Dhanbad in the eastern state of Jharkhand went to take a printout of her admit card, she found a picture of Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on her admit card.

According to ETV India, the issue came up when the students approached Vice Chancellor SK Barnwal to resolve the issue and Mr Barnwal said that it was not done by the university and that he would investigate it.

Similarly, in an exam in Bihar, a candidate had written the name of actor Emraan Hashmi instead of his father’s name and when this came to light, actor Emraan Hashmi wrote on Twitter (now X) that ‘I swear that he Not my (son).’

Not only this, but the name of the candidate’s mother’s name was written on Sunny Leone and instead of the address, the address of the red light area of Muzaffarpur, Bihar was written. Similarly, South Indian actress Anupama Parameswaram’s picture was placed on an admission card for the Bihar Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (STET). The candidate who appeared in the exam with this photo also passed it. This came to light after a leader of the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal in the state posted a video of a complainant.

Similarly, in a Staff Selection Commission exam held for a government job, a candidate mischievously uploaded actor Abhishek Bachchan’s photo instead of his own. This incident took place in May 2017.
